I started drumming in my 60s, a late bloomer. Came from playing guitar which, thinking about it, did not match my personality at all. I was a drummer hiding behind a guitar! As I started late, live in a condo, EDrums were my only option noise wise. However, my wallet did not like my choice... all those nice acoustic kits I could have for 1/4 of the price of a high end EDrum set. Being a devloper, a maker and an electronic enthusiast... did not take long before I tried to figure out how I could get a real acoustic size drum converted to Electronic... 
I also grew a little frustrated with the lack of interoperability between the different makes. Why can't we agree on the basics triggers... Drums, Cymbals and HH controllers... 
My research got me to a point where I can build great professional looking trigger systems using my own cast foam, 3D Printing, custom circuit boards  and such... Now I chose to share that knowledge, hopefully we can create some standards along the way and get some manufacturers interested... 
This is a side gig for me, so please be patient and please do correct me if I am wrong. I wish to be of service to the community that welcomed me and shared their knowledge as I was learning (and still am learning) by making my knowledge available here... Let's see where this will take us.
